Westside Ecumenical Ministry to the Elderly (WEME) operates from the lower level of St. Paul and St. Andrew in partnership with Goddard Riverside Community Center. WEME prepares 500 meals six days a week for our homebound elderly neighbors.
The goal of WEME is to help people to remain in their homes for as long as possible as they age into their 70s, 80s and 90s. The program reaches out to people who have few family and social supports. Often it is the only source of good nutrition and the delivery person is one of the few visitors clients receive from week to week to reduce their isolation.
